How We Began
The Journey to Opening the Doors on November 18, 2003
The journey of where we come from tells us about who we are today and who we want to be tomorrow.
The Physician Owners of Orthopedic + Fracture Specialties who already has a long and rich history in our community, felt very strongly to provide a patient-centered surgical experience and began to focus on how to open a facility that would allow them to perform surgeries by providing a pleasant patient experience. The physicians also envisioned a setting that required less bureaucratic tasks and overall efficiency where changes could be made and implemented to enable the improved processes in a more timely fashion.
So the next steps led us to search and find the right location. The “concept gathering” was an invigorating process where key people who were highly motivated to make this concept a reality. Fortis Construction played an integral part as they helped shape our vision to existence.
The Physician Partners and Center for Specialty Surgery Teams shared the same goal of strengthening the patient-physician relationships, which started with a top-notch patient experience when we opened our doors on 11.18.2003.
In 2009, Providence Health and Services became our joint venture partners, allowing the door to open to treat even more patients at our surgery center. This collaboration allowed us to focus on shared goals to strengthen the doctor-patient relationships, to provide a patient-friendly experience resulting in better patient outcomes.
Our company has a unique history, rooted in our leaderships’ successful experience furthering patient safety, low infection rates and a cost effective alternative to receive world-class medical care. We, at Center for Specialty Surgery remain committed to providing quality patient care at a significant savings to our patients and the healthcare system.
